The American youtuber-turned-boxer, who happens to be friends with the Canadian rapper, was asked during the post-fight press conference about the huge bet Drake had placed on him. “F***! This is Drake’s fault!’ Paul joked. “Drake, bro, why did you do this to me?”
“No, it’s my fault. 400,000 is nothing to him – he has won a lot more money betting on me before. He’s probably about even now. Sorry Drake, I’ll get that W in the rematch.”
Champagne Papi is a notorious gambler and the “Drake Curse” is a bit of an inside joke in the basketball, UFC and fight-game circles. Of the seven big bets he has placed on Super Bowl, he has won only one.
