TMZ has reported that Quavo and Offset fought backstage over the tribute for the slain rapper Takeoff.
According to the report the brawl was so bad the two had to be pulled apart. Quavo, Offset and Takeoff co-founded the music group Migos in 2008.
Reportedly, Offset was upset with Quavo for not allowing him to be a part of the tribute despite the Grammy Awards insistence that Offset (one-third part of Migos) be included in the tribute.
Quavo performed a moving and poignant tribute, a song called “Without You” in the “In Memoriam” segment at the Grammys on Sunday to honor his slain nephew Takeoff who lost his life in November, 2022 in a Bowling alley shooting in Houston, Texas.
A man named Patrick Xavier Clark, 33, was arrested by the police for the alleged murder, which was a result of an altercation over a dice game.
Offset and Takeoff are cousins, whereas the slain Takeoff is their nephew. The relationship between Offset and Takeoff, it has been reported, has soured since the death of Takeoff. The impression was further confirmed after observers noticed that the two had avoided each other at the Clive Davis’ Pre-Grammys Gala in Beverly Hills.
However, Offset, denied reports of the reported fight. He tweeted, “What tf look like fighting my brother yl..crazy.”
