A month after he expressed regret over a nasty online feud with Megan Thee Stallion, Carl Crawford has once again held out another olive branch to Stallion by extending a warm welcome to her to Houston.
Crawford and “the Houston Hottie” partnered up in 2018, with Megan signing a distribution deal later that year. However, later that year when Megan hired the services of Roc Nation as her managerial team, the relationship between Crawford and Megan began to strain.
The dispute, which has been raging on since last yearboth inside and outside of the court, stems from a contract dispute between the singer and her record label 1501 Certified Entertainment, which is owned by Crawford. The two have hurled insults at each other online, including accusations of using drugs and cocaine.
Crawford has now extended a warm welcome to the Houston Hottie. 1501 released a statement welcoming the singer. The statement begins by calling Megan Thee Stallion “Queen of Hotties and one of the most iconic female artists of our time,” and goes on to call on Houston to welcome the artist and “support her headlining performance at the At&T Block Party Friday, 31.”
“IF YOU THINK YOU SAW MEG PERFORM BEFORE, THINK AGAIN!Wait till you see her tear down the stage on Friday as she’s gearing up for this New ALBUM, New WORLD TOUR, and New MOTION!”
“We look forward to continuing to support our 1501 artist, Megan Thee Stallion, in all of her future endeavors. The 1501 staff is dedicated to a successful and exciting launch of this new project!”
Last month, Crawford told TMZ. “Unfortunately, me and Megan haven’t talked since 2019,” he said. “We been going through what y’all seen online. That’s unfortunate, too, because I never wanted to go have a situation where I was going back and forth with her on the internet.”
“I never had problems with Megan Thee Stallion, but this social media stuff turned it really sour. You take this social media stuff out of it, and we won’t have a problem. You won’t hear me mention Megan Thee Stallion’s name unless it’s a big-time interview.”
