Blueface Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison, According to His Father

Rapper Blueface has been sentenced to four years in prison for violating his probation, his father confirms.

Rapper Blueface, whose real name is Johnathan Porter, has been sentenced to four years in prison for violating his probation. The Los Angeles native was originally on probation in connection with a 2021 assault on a security guard at a lounge in North Hollywood. According to reports, his probation was violated after he was caught with drug paraphernalia, leading to the maximum sentence being handed down by the judge.

“I’m confident Blue will be home in roughly 10 months… already having served 440 days,” Wack 100 said.

Blueface’s father shared the news of his son’s sentencing in an emotional video posted online, where he fought back tears while revealing the harsh reality that his son would be spending the next four years behind bars. The news has shaken Blueface’s family, friends, and fans, who were hopeful that the rapper would be able to avoid a lengthy prison term.

According to TMZ, Blueface’s manager, Wack 100, had managed to get Blueface’s sentencing suspended for several years. However, the recent violation of his probation left the judge with no choice but to impose the full sentence. Despite the grim situation, Wack 100 remains optimistic, telling TMZ that he believes Blueface will be released in roughly 10 months due to time already served. Blueface has reportedly spent 440 days in custody, which could significantly reduce his time in prison.

The rapper’s legal troubles don’t end with his California charges. In addition to the probation violation, Blueface was arrested on June 8, 2023, in Las Vegas, Nevada, for robbery. The incident allegedly involved Blueface taking a woman’s cell phone at the Palms Casino on May 29. Furthermore, Blueface is facing serious charges of attempted murder related to a separate incident in October 2022. These ongoing legal battles have compounded his already challenging situation, making his path to freedom even more uncertain.

Blueface was arrested and booked into the Van Nuys jail on January 12, 2024. He is currently being held at the Men’s Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles. His time behind bars has been marked by difficulties, including being removed from the general population at the LA County Jail due to safety concerns.

Adding to the rapper’s personal struggles, his former girlfriend and the mother of his son, Chrisean Rock, is also facing legal issues. She is currently incarcerated in Oklahoma on drug charges. The couple’s tumultuous relationship has often been in the public eye, with both facing legal challenges that have kept them apart from their young son.

The news of Blueface’s sentencing has sparked a wave of reactions from fans and the hip-hop community. Many have expressed their support for the rapper, while others are concerned about his future and the impact of his legal troubles on his music career.

Blueface first rose to fame with his 2018 hit “Thotiana,” which became a viral sensation and catapulted him into the spotlight. Since then, he has released several successful tracks and collaborated with some of the biggest names in the industry. However, his career has been marred by legal issues and controversies that have often overshadowed his musical achievements.

As Blueface prepares to serve his sentence, the rapper’s supporters are left hoping for his early release and a chance for him to turn his life around. His situation serves as a reminder of the challenges that many artists face in balancing their careers with the pressures of their personal lives. For now, Blueface’s future remains uncertain as he begins his journey through the legal system, with his fans eagerly awaiting his return.
