The “Have Mercy” singer warned fans to be cautious as rumors of Halle’s pregnancy began to circulate on social media.
Chlöe may be heard warning viewers in an expired Instagram Live captured by 9MagTV, “And y’all better keep my sister’s name out of your mouth.” Thank you very much. Amen. Hallelujah.”
“Bout to get me riled up the h-l,” she added. Another voice says, “We don’t play about Halle.” “No,” Chlöe swiftly said. What the hell is going on? Period.” Before concluding her live broadcast, the 25-year-old shifted the subject.
Her tape was quickly published where many comments praised Chlöe for standing up for her 23-year-old sister and longtime singing companion.
“One thing about the Bailey sisters is that they will always protect one another!”
“She came in with her face exposed, no edge control or lashes…”Mane, you should stop playing with that girl sister.”
“Chloe and Halle don’t play about each other, and I love it.”
Nonetheless, there were IG users who were curious about the pregnancy rumors.
“Girl, are we going to be internet aunties or what?”
“Dang All we wanted to know was when the baby was due and where we could send flowers.”
Over the weekend, rumors circulated that Halle was expecting her first child with her longtime boyfriend, rapper DDG. A woman can be seen strolling behind the “If I Want You” rapper while clutching her supposedly protruding tummy in a viral video that has gone viral.
Many speculated that the unidentified woman was Halle since her locs matched the mystery woman’s haircut. After viewers pointed out how baggy most of her recent outfits looked to be, Twitter users speculated that the “The Little Mermaid” actress was pregnant.
In one video, Halle was dressed in a pink T-shirt outfit and stood with Chlöe and a fan. Fans zeroed in on the rounded tummy that appeared to be hidden beneath the garment as the singer lifted out her arm.
Chlöe and Halle are no strangers to public scrutiny or false accusations leveled upon them. The “Praise This” star’s sex scene with her “Swarm” co-star Damson Idris drew internet outrage in April.
Despite the criticism, many individuals came to Chlöe’s rescue, including her former “Grown-ish” co-star Trevor Jackson.
Halle got backlash in 2019 after it was confirmed that she will play Ariel in the live-action adaptation of “The Little Mermaid.”
While Chlöe has openly defended her sister from critics, neither she nor Halle has disputed the pregnancy rumors.
