Darius Jackson, Keke Palmer’s boyfriend and the father of her one baby, is doubling down on his dislike of the clothing she wore in a viral video in which she was serenaded by Usher.
The video, which was shot at Usher’s Las Vegas residency concert and released on July 5, featured the 29-year-old singer and actress wearing a black thong bodysuit underneath a transparent, skin-tight dress.
Keke threw her arms around Usher, 44, at one point in the video, while he had his arm over her lower back. However, it was the dress, not the acts, that irritated Darius. “It’s the outfit, tho.. you a mom,” Darius tweeted in response to the video.
Darius resorted to Twitter again after receiving backlash from Keke’s followers for his words.
“We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want his wife and mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he tweeted on July 5 evening.
“This is my family, and this is my representation.” “I have morals and standards for what I believe.”
Darius and Keke have been dating since the summer of 2021. Keke put an end to pregnancy speculations in December 2022 when she revealed that she was expecting her first child during her opening monologue on Saturday Night Live.
“There are some rumors floating around. People have been claiming in my comments, ‘Keke’s having a kid, Keke’s pregnant,’ and I want to clear the air – I am,” she stated before pulling open her jacket to display her naked baby belly.
On Saturday, February 25, Keke and Darius welcomed their first child. Their son’s name is LeodisAndrelton Jackson. At the 2023 Met Gala, Keke raved about parenthood. “It’s unbelievable.
“I feel like I’m so much more effortless in my job now because there’s nothing harder than having a baby,” the Nope actress told Access Hollywood. “So, now I feel like there’s so much more fun I can have and so much more ease I can bring to it, and it’s just awesome.”
Previously, the Primetime Emmy Award winner stated that Darius is the most powerful support system she has ever encountered. “I’ve had incredible support [while pregnant],” she told Vanity Fair only two weeks before their baby was born. “I have a very lonely and also a very overwhelming job.”
To do SNL, for example, is incredible, but also difficult for a variety of reasons — what it implies for your career, how demanding the schedule is. You must become extremely concentrated, and those around you must be prepared for whatever it may do to you. I felt my partner’s support during it in a level that I hadn’t felt before.”
“[He’s shown] selflessness ever since I met him.” “I’m making sure I’m not alone, that I have support,” Keke concluded. “I believe that’s all you can ask of anyone.” And I’ve only ever received that type of support from my family — which is ironic, because we are now family.”
