DC Young Fly is mourning the loss of his partner Jacky Oh following the former Wild ‘N Out star’s unexpected death at 32.
Comedian DC Young Fly is speaking out after the death of his partner, Jacky Oh. The news came as a shock to fans and friends of the star on Thursday. Friday DC Young Fly, who’s real name is John Whitfield shared a statement regarding Oh’s death.
“We thank everyone for their well wishes and ask for privacy during this difficult time,”
Whitfield said in the statement
She joined the show Wild ‘N Out in 2014 for its sixth season after Nick Cannon invited her to audition.
Jacky remained part of the rap battle comedy show for five seasons but was also known for her work as a model, makeup entrepreneur, and content creator.
Her sudden death on May 31 sparked a social media storm as fans eagerly await any news about what led up to her passing.
NFL star Odell Beckham Jr shared a statement on Friday from Jacky’s family.
“It is with sadden[ed] hearts we share with you that Jacklyn aka MsJackyOh has passed away on Wednesday 31st, 2023.
“Our family is still processing this very tragic and unexpected loss; we ask that you please give us privacy during this time.”
Beckham also shared a photo of Jacky and her three children on his Instagram story.
“Rest easy angel,” he wrote.
The official Wild ‘N Out Instagram account paid tribute to Jacky, writing that her impact will be “forever treasured and missed.”
“Jacky Oh was a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild N’ Out cast throughout five seasons. More importantly, she was a tremendous mother to three beautiful children.
“The BET Media Group extends our sincere condolences to the Smith family, DC Young Fly, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all friends who loved and cared for Jacky Oh during this difficult time.”
Jacky met DC Young Fly – real name John Whitfield – sometime in 2015 when they both appeared on the show.
The couple shared three children, two daughters Nova and Nala and a son named Prince.
Jacky’s last Instagram post was a snap of her kids sleeping, tagged “happiness” and “peace.”
Her cause of death Is still unclear at this time.
