Young Thug Taken to Hospital Ahead of Court Attendance for the Second Consecutive Day

Jeffrey Williams, better known by his rap name Young Thug, was taken to the hospital on Friday ahead of a scheduled attendance in court after he complained of chest pain. This was the second day in a row he was taken to the court.

The lawyer for the Atlanta-born rapper told Judge Ural Granville that his client was severely unwell and suffering from malnourishment and exhaustion.

Last month, one of his lawyers, Brian Steel, told Judge Granville that his client was surviving in Cob County Jail on chocolate and chips and had limited access to fresh air, exercise, and healthy physical activity.

Young Thug has been in jail for over a year on a RICO case. He faces gang violence charges.

Part of the notorious Young Slime Life (YSL) gang, Williams (Young Thug) and two dozen other gang members face charges of “terrorizing the city” with gang violence and organized crime.

The rapper was taken to Atlanta’s Grady Hospital ahead of his court appearance on Thursday and Friday.
