The legal storm surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken another unexpected turn. Joseph Manzaro, the man accusing the hip-hop mogul of sexual assault, has made notable changes to his lawsuit most strikingly, he has removed all references to global superstars Beyoncé and Jay-Z.
Manzaro initially filed the lawsuit in Florida, claiming he was drugged, assaulted, and trespassed into a disturbing “freak-off” party held at Diddy’s Miami mansion. The event allegedly took place during the 17th birthday celebration of Diddy’s son, King Combs. In his original filing, Manzaro described a bizarre scene in which Beyoncé allegedly looked at him a half-naked man wearing a phallic mask and questioned his presence. He also claimed that Jay-Z was present and witnessed part of the disturbing incident.
However, the updated legal filing no longer includes these high-profile names.
According to the news report the only substantive change in the amended complaint is the removal of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s mentions, with minor grammatical corrections added.
This has raised questions about the original motivations behind naming the celebrity couple in the first place.
Legal experts suggest the decision to edit the complaint may be strategic removing those not directly involved in the alleged assault helps narrow the case and avoid unnecessary public backlash. Jay-Z’s lawyer has already stated that the rapper was not even in Florida at the time of the party and that official records can confirm it. Beyoncé’s team has also distanced her from the situation, although no formal statement has been released.
As the lawsuit against Diddy progresses, the high-stakes legal battle continues to attract public attention. With celebrity names now stripped from the case, the focus returns to the serious accusations facing Combs and how they may affect his legacy in the music industry.
