Sean “Diddy” Combs is taking legal action against Warner Bros., demanding access to raw, unedited footage from the controversial HBO docuseries The Fall of Diddy. His legal team issued a subpoena in March targeting all behind-the-scenes materials linked to the series, which premiered on HBO Max in January.

According to the filing, Combs’ lawyers are seeking every recording, including raw interviews and unused clips, particularly those involving two key individuals featured in the series. In addition to video footage, the subpoena requests access to personal notes, journals and any financial compensation provided to the participants for their involvement.

Warner Bros. however, is resisting the demand. The studio has filed a motion in federal court to block the subpoena, calling it an unjustified “fishing expedition.” In a nine-page legal document submitted today, Warner Bros. invoked the “reporter’s privilege”a legal protection for journalistic sources and unpublished materials arguing that Combs’ request is too broad and legally unsound.

Attorney Thomas B. Sullivan, representing Warner Bros., explained in his letter to U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian that Combs is attempting to obtain interview outtakes under the guise of discovery.

“Mr. Combs has not met, and cannot meet, the standard required to override this privilege,” Sullivan asserted.

Though the filing avoids naming the two accusers directly, it identifies them as “Individual A” and “Individual B.” Individual A, reportedly Combs’ former personal chef, discussed his alleged mistreatment and the toxic work environment. Individual B, described as a former romantic partner, opened up about their relationship and alleged sexual assault.

Warner Bros. insists that Diddy’s request is less about truth-seeking and more about building a defense strategy, possibly to discredit these accusers if they are called to testify during his upcoming trial in May.

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have finally dropped their highly anticipated joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, on February 14, 2025. The album, packed with 21 tracks, highlights the dynamic creative chemistry between the two OVO artists.
