SZA has made it abundantly clear that she is not impressed with Shannon Sharpe’s latest podcast antics, particularly when it comes to conversations about her body. The Grammy-winning singer didn’t hold back her frustration after a clip from Sharpe’s Club Shay Shay interview with Coco Jones surfaced, featuring an unexpected and, in SZA’s words, “tacky” question about her past Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedure.

During the episode, Sharpe took an unusual turn in the conversation by referencing SZA’s previous comments about regretting her BBL. Instead of keeping the discussion relevant to Jones, he decided to ask the ICU singer whether she had ever spoken to anyone who shared similar regrets about undergoing cosmetic surgery. Visibly caught off guard by the question, Jones responded with a careful and neutral answer, saying, “Um, no,” before adding, “The girls that I talk to, they be like, ‘Girl, do this.’”

SZA wasted no time reacting to the viral moment. She quickly jumped into the podcast’s comment section to voice her displeasure. “Lmaooo now why would this be a question for Coco,” she wrote. “Poor baby, she handled it well now Shay Shay.”

However, she didn’t stop there. She then directed her criticism straight at Sharpe himself, calling his line of questioning “incredibly tacky.” She also hinted at her previous interest in appearing on Club Shay Shay but suggested that this moment had made her reconsider: “I wanted to come here too, dah well.”

Sharpe’s question stemmed from SZA’s candid interview with British Vogue in November 2024, where she openly admitted that she initially regretted her decision to undergo surgery. “I was so mad,” she revealed at the time. “I gained all this weight from being immobile while recovering and trying to preserve the fat.

SZA’s reaction to Sharpe’s comments highlights an ongoing issue in media interviews—women, especially in the entertainment industry, often find themselves subjected to invasive and unnecessary questions about their bodies. As she continues to stand up for herself and call out what she deems inappropriate, her fans remain supportive of her right to dictate how her image is discussed in the public sphere.

Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have finally dropped their highly anticipated joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, on February 14, 2025. The album, packed with 21 tracks, highlights the dynamic creative chemistry between the two OVO artists.
