The 52-year-old TLC singer was a guest on the Ryan Cameron Uncensored radio show last Friday and told hosts her 43-year-old’s interview with Entertainment Tonight was edited in a misleading way.
About whether they will potentially have children together she told the host, “You never know.”
‘I would never say that [I’m done with families],’ she explained, adding that she wants to be married first.
Chilli, who counts Usher as an ex-love, stated, ‘I gotta be married for sure … and I’m not married, yet.’
It comes after Lawrence recently opened up about their relationship the ET interview with his brothers Joey and Andrew Lawrence.
When asked if the new couple wants children, a clip was altered to show his reply as, “I hope. That’s the game plan. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
“My life is in complete bloom right now. I get to spend time with an amazing woman like Chilli.”
The Mrs. Doubtfire actor elaborated
In Friday’s conversation, Chilli – whose real name is Rozonda Thomas — said, ‘They didn’t show that part but when you go on there and you see the whole interview then you see he was not talking about us working on having a baby … because that’s not what’s happening.’
“And I missed the first go around and now he’s starting a new family and I was thinking, “Man, it’d be great if we could do it again when I didn’t have the chance to raise a family together.”
“So that’s what I meant by that. I didn’t mean to put any pressure on somebody I was dating or anything.”
He then gushed about his new girlfriend, “She’s an amazing person. She’s already a mother – she has an incredible son. I respect so much as to how she’s raised him. She’d be an incredible mother again and I’d be incredibly lucky but that’s way in the future.”
