In a video that went viral on social media recently attributed to the Los Angeles Judge presiding in the case, Eric Holder Jr, the man who killed Nipsy Hussle was warned that his life behind war would be “hell” because “all the gangs” would be looking to exact revenge on him. However, it has now been clarified by Hollywood Unlocked that the words were spoken by Holder’s lawyer.
“Once he gets to state prison, he’s a target,” the attorney is heard telling the court in the video. “There’s a green light on him from all the gangs, all the people that loved Nipsey Hussle. And so, his life in prison is going to be hell… for as long as it lasts.”
The Victory Lap rapper Nipsy Hussle was killed in broad daylight outside a Marathon Clothing Store in South Los Angeles in 2019. Eric Holder Jr, 33, was sentenced to 60 years in jail last month for the murder of Nipsy Hussle after a jury found him guilty of first-degree murder, attempted voluntary manslaughter, and assault for shooting other victims.
According to sources close to the event, Holder Jr. shot Nips for allegedly cooperating with the police against him after the rapper told him that there was “paperwork” on him. Nipsy was shot 11 times.
Holder Jr. has not had an easy time in jail after he received injuries from a beating from fellow inmates. “Mr. Holder, Jr. was assaulted by multiple individuals while he was in the holding cell at the jail while waiting to be brought to court yesterday morning,” his lawyer told CBS News. “The attack included a razor and the back of his head was cut.”
