Music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces seven new lawsuits with allegations of sexual assault, harassment, and misconduct spanning two decades.
Music producer and entrepreneur Sean “Diddy” Combs has been hit with seven new civil lawsuits, adding to the growing number of legal cases accusing him of sexual assault and misconduct. The lawsuits were filed in federal and state courts in New York, bringing new allegations that span a timeline from 2000 to 2022. These lawsuits include claims from both male and female accusers, with serious accusations of rape, drugging, sexual harassment, and false imprisonment.
One of the lawsuits involves a woman, identified as Jane Doe, who claims she was only 13 years old in 2000 when she attended an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty hosted by Combs. According to the lawsuit, Doe alleges that after consuming a drink at the party, she felt drowsy and went to lie down. She then claims that Diddy, along with an unnamed male and female celebrity, entered the room. The male celebrity allegedly raped her first, with Diddy and the female celebrity watching. Doe’s lawsuit states that Diddy then raped her as the others continued to watch.
“Mr. Combs and his legal team have full confidence in the facts, their legal defenses, and the integrity of the judicial process,” Combs’ attorneys said in the statement. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted anyone — adult or minor, man or woman.”
This shocking case is just one of the many disturbing allegations outlined in the new lawsuits. In total, five of the lawsuits were filed in federal court in New York, with two more submitted in New York Superior Court. The plaintiffs include both men and women, many of whom claim they were minors at the time of the alleged assaults. Of the seven new cases, three are filed by women and four by men, all listed as Jane or John Doe. Six of the plaintiffs allege they were drugged by Diddy at parties before being assaulted.
One of the male accusers, identified as John Doe, states he was 17 years old in 2022 when he met Combs at a party. According to the lawsuit, Diddy gave him a drink, promising that he could “make him a star,” before allegedly drugging and sexually assaulting him.
These latest legal actions follow a series of lawsuits filed against Diddy over the past year. His former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, was the first to file a lawsuit against him in 2023, which was settled within 24 hours. However, many of the other cases, some dating back decades, remain active. Houston-based attorney Tony Buzbee, who represents several of the accusers, has previously stated that his firm represents over 120 alleged victims of Combs, including minors.
Federal prosecutors are also investigating Diddy’s business empire, alleging that it has been involved in a “criminal enterprise” that engaged in sex trafficking, forced labor, and physical abuse. The prosecutors claim that this criminal network has allowed Diddy to evade justice for decades. Combs, who is currently being held in federal custody in New York, has pleaded not guilty to charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting people for the purpose of prostitution. His trial is set to begin in May 2025.
