R.I.P. ‘Survivor’s Remorse’ Actress Erica Ash Passes Away At 46 After Cancer Battle . Erica Ash, the renowned actress and comedian famous for her roles in TV series such as MadTV and Survivor’s Remorse, passed away on Sunday after what her family described as “a long and courageous battle with cancer.” She was 46.

The news was confirmed by  her family, along with a heartfelt statement from her mother, Diann Ash, who said,

“Erica was an amazing woman and talented entertainer who touched countless lives with her sharp wit, humor, and genuine zest for life. Her memory will live eternally in our hearts.”

Born in Florida, Erica Ash first gained recognition on Rosie O’Donnell’s The Big Gay Sketch Show. She subsequently appeared on several notable shows, including ,Real Husbands of Hollywood, Survivor’s Remorse, and In Contempt. Her film credits included Scary Movie V, The Big Bend, and Violet. Ash also made a mark on Broadway, with performances in Baby It’s You! and The Lion King.

Following Ash’s death, many friends and colleagues paid tribute to her on social media, reflecting on her talent and the impact she had on their lives. Viola Davis expressed her condolences on Instagram, writing, “RIP beautiful Queen! Prayers of comfort, peace, and healing to your loved ones.”

Michael Jai White, who worked with Ash on the film Outlaw Johnny Black, shared a touching tribute, saying, “We all lost one of the most multitalented and beautiful human beings I’ve ever known, @theericaash. I considered her the potential Carol Burnett of her generation. She was one of the strongest people I’ve known, spending nearly every lunch break lying on her dressing room floor in pain from stage 4 cancer during production and keeping it a secret from nearly everyone. She was a joy who put others first!”

White added, “I’m tremendously sad she left us and sad we won’t get to do the things we had in development, but I feel tremendously blessed to have had her in my life and got to bear witness to her brilliance, love, and friendship! Rest in peace, Erica!”

In honor of Erica Ash’s memory, her family has requested that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or another breast cancer charity of your choice. her mother said.

“We are grateful for the kind expressions of love and support during this difficult time,”

Erica Ash is perhaps best known for her time on MadTV from 2008 to 2009. After her stint on the sketch comedy show, she secured roles in Scary Movie 5, Uncle Drew, The Real Husbands of Hollywood, and more. In 2014, she landed the leading role on Starz’s dramedy series Survivor’s Remorse.

She was such a great person to work with, full of life, funny, and talented. You left a great mark on earth ️️️,” alongside a still from the series.

The family appreciates the outpouring of love and support and requests that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation or any breast cancer foundation of choice in her honor.

Erica Ash’s legacy as a talented performer and beloved individual will continue to inspire and bring joy to those who knew her and those who appreciated her work.
