Taye Diggs (All American, The Best Man) and Meagan Good (Divorce in the Black, Harlem) star in and executive produce Lifetime’s newly acquired film “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever,” premiering at 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 24. The movie is directed and executive produced by Charles Murray (Outer Range, Luke Cage).
Written by Bart Baker, “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever” tells the story of Johnnie (Diggs), who returns home after serving in the military only to be confronted with divorce papers. At a pivotal moment in his life, Johnnie meets Carlie (Good), a local policewoman who stops him for speeding. As he strives to win her affection, he must also gain the approval of her three daughters. To become the man Carlie needs, Johnnie must overcome past fears and regrets, discovering the true essence of love and family.
The film is produced by The Ninth House in collaboration with GroupM Motion Entertainment. Executive producers include Taye Diggs, Meagan Good, Terry McMillan, Charles Murray, Richard Foster, and Chet Fenster for GroupM Motion Entertainment. Emmy-winning producer Shelby Stone, Autumn Federici, and Jake Helgren also contribute as producers for The Ninth House.
“Terry McMillan Presents: Forever” is part of a series of films under the Terry McMillan brand, following “Terry McMillan Presents: Tempted By Love,” starring and executive produced by Garcelle Beauvais, which premieres a week earlier on August 17.

Meagan Good makes a significant return to television with a leading role in Lifetime’s “Terry McMillan Presents: Forever.” Following her notable performance in Tyler Perry’s “Divorce In The Black,” Good stars alongside Taye Diggs, with both actors also serving as executive producers for the film.
Charles Murray directs this heartwarming story, set to premiere on Saturday, August 24, at 8 p.m. ET. The narrative, penned by Bart Baker, centers around Johnnie (Diggs), a military veteran who, upon his return home, is unexpectedly served with divorce papers. In a twist of fate, he falls for Carlie (Good), a local police officer who had stopped him for a traffic violation.
