Fans Hope Meagan Good Is Getting ‘Paid Well’. A video of actor Jonathan Majors dancing at his girlfriend Meagan Good’s new movie premiere party, Divorce in the Black, has gone viral, causing a stir on social media.
The party took place in New York City on Monday, July 8, and while secret recordings were being made during the revelry, attendees pulled out their phones to film the former Marvel star singing along to Kendrick Lamar’s smash hit “Not Like Us.” pulled off some crazy moves. As the clip went viral on social media, Black Twitter and other majors made fun of his crazy dance moves.
Jonathan stormed the dance floor in New York City on Monday night, briefly stealing the show during the premiere party for Tyler Perry’s Divorce in the Black, which stars Megan. They join in on Fantasia’s classic hit “When I See U.” They embrace and gyrate as they sing the song with love. One person posted to X, “Someone told me he dances like a jive turkey, wow.” Hollywood Unlocked posted a clip of the Yale University graduate shaking his wicked tail feathers, and the platform’s 3.6 million followers had a field day teasing him.
Another commented that his stomping is reminiscent of another black fraternity, saying, “He looks like Frank Mitchell stomping Moesha.” Someone else chimed in, “What the hell is that?” A fourth commented: “He’s just acting like his normal cheesy self so I can’t even say anything bad about him.” Some comments said Majors was showing pure joy in being with other black people a year after he was accused of assault by his white ex-girlfriend.
One Instagram user wrote, “He’s trying to improve black people’s credit scores,” while another joked, “He’s from a plantation.” Other shots from the after party show Majors and Good, both wearing baby blue dresses with halter necks across their chests and stomachs exposing their toned abs, singing together to Fantasia’s classic hit “When I See U” while dancing and singing.
The couple appeared deeply in love as they embraced, and showered affection on each other. At first glance, the “Eve’s Bayou” star seems surprised by the wriggling moves but then smiles sweetly. Despite massive disapproval of their connection from friends, family, and fans, their chemistry and happiness seem palpable.
During an interview on “Today with Hoda and Jenna,” Good shared her thoughts on dating the controversial actor, but didn’t reveal how their relationship began. “The support we’ve been able to give each other, the listening to each other, the honest conversations, the love, the respect, the care and compassion, it’s been amazing,” she told hosts Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager. When asked if her friends had encouraged her to wait to date the “Creed III” actor, she said they asked her to “wait and see how it goes” with his trial.
Instead, she was by his side during his darkest times. “Well, all my friends told me to do that, but at the end of the day, there’s one thing I know: If I trust my heart, I can always look myself in the mirror,” the “Harlem” star shared. “When I trust God, when I ask God, and when I dance to my own tune.”
Two social media users who saw additional footage of her and Major dancing at the premiere party commented, “I hope Megan gets paid well for that head-shaking stunt,” and “The moment she started saying it would be hot, I was like, ‘I’m so happy.'” You knew she wanted to quit.
The two actors started dating in May 2023. Two months before that, Majors was involved in a domestic violence incident with his then-girlfriend, Grace Jabari. He allegedly attacked Jabari in a taxi after midnight on March 25th during an argument over text messages he had received from another woman. After spending the night in a hotel after the argument, Majors was arrested when NYPD officers responded to a 911 call he made from the apartment he shared with Jabari.

Jonathan Majors also revealed that he was not allowed to show photos of his injuries to the jury in court. Following the alleged assault, the Lovecraft Country star lost a string of jobs, including film roles, as well as his management and PR firm.
Paparazzi captured Goode in his entourage during the trial, which began on Wednesday, November 29. Major was found guilty by a jury on December 18, 2023, of reckless assault and harassment. In April 2024, he was sentenced to 52 weeks of an individualized domestic violence intervention program.
