Drake and J. Cole will headline the expanded two-day event scheduled for April 1st and 2nd in Raleigh, North Carolina.
J Cole and his manager Ibrahim Hamad founded the Dreamville Records company in 2007 and is currently distributed through Interscope Record (Universal Music Group) with a roster that comprises Bas, Ari Lennox, Cozz, Omen, Lute, JID, EarthGang, and Cole himself. In 2011 J. Cole founded the Dreamville Foundation to provide opportunities for underprivileged youth. Cole founded the Dreamville Festival in 2018 to help feature new local music artists, food, culture, arts, and a mix of national acts and up-and-coming artists.
A statement confirming the event and its line-up was released by Dreamville organizers. “With a continued emphasis on community, diversity, and inclusivity, Dreamville Festival will once again offer fans from across the globe a weekend celebration curated by J. Cole himself and featuring a variety of local vendors, food trucks, artisans, and community organizations from the greater Triangle area. Festival-goers can look forward to exploring the historic Dorothea Dix Park, Raleigh’s largest city park, and enjoying incredible music performances next April featuring Cole’s own favorite musical artists and collaborators who are traveling worldwide to perform in his home state of North Carolina,” The statement said.
