Rapper 50 Cent, born Curtis James Jackson, has landed in legal trouble after being accused of orchestrating an assault on a photographer. Guadalupe De Los Santos has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court, claiming that 50 Cent directed someone to strike him with an SUV door, causing injuries and damage to his property.
The incident reportedly occurred on September 11, 2024, after a book signing event at The Grove in Los Angeles. Santos, who was on his electric scooter filming footage, alleges that 50 Cent’s car pulled up beside him at a red light. According to the lawsuit, the front passenger door of the SUV was suddenly flung open, hitting Santos on his left side and knocking him off his scooter.
Santos claims the act was intentional and aimed at causing harm, as there was no apparent reason for the door to open at that moment. The impact left him with injuries, and his scooter was damaged beyond repair. The photographer also asserts that the incident disrupted his professional career, leading to lost income and mounting medical expenses. For more updates check our Youtube channel.
High-profile attorney Gloria Allred is representing Santos in the lawsuit. Known for her involvement in major legal battles against public figures like Harvey Weinstein, Bill Cosby, and R. Kelly, Allred is no stranger to controversial cases. Responding to the lawsuit, 50 Cent posted a throwback photo with Allred on Instagram, mocking her involvement with the caption:
“The moment I realised I don’t like lawyers. Gloria, you should know better, chase a different ambulance.”
A lawyer for 50 Cent dismissed the allegations as baseless, stating:
“Mr. Jackson has not been served or seen the lawsuit. If such a frivolous claim is filed, we will swiftly move to dismiss it and seek legal remedies.”
The legal team emphasized that 50 Cent is neither the vehicle’s driver nor the person accused of opening the door. As the case unfolds, it adds to the rapper’s history of public legal battles.
